About Six Abodes of Lord Muruga Packages

One of the best places to visit in Madurai is the Thirupparamkunram Murugan temple. It’s located in Thiruparankundram, which is close to the city. The ancient structure is breathtaking in architecture particularly because it’s rock-cut. Another distinct feature is the placement of the gods, Shiva and Vishnu, who face each other. Considering Shaivites and Vaishnavites have always been two different groups, this aspect sets the temple apart.Don’t stop your exploration at the temple; take a walk around the complex and visit the nearby pond to see devotees feeding the fish.

Tiruchendur is filled with many temples which complements the beauty of this place. Located near the sea, this place was hit by Tsunami on December 26, 2004. It is believed that it was saved by the blessings of Lord Murugan who resides in the Thiruchendur temple situated near the sea shores. Other than the beautiful temples, this place is also famous for many tourist attractions sites like Panchalam Kuridhi Fort, and Tuticorin.

Arulmigu Swaminatha Swamy Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to god Murugan. It is located in Swamimalai, 5 km from Kumbakonam, on the banks of a tributary of river Kaveri in Thanjavur District, 250 km from Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, India. The temple is fourth abode of Murugan among six . The shrine of the presiding deity, Swaminathaswamy is located atop a 60 ft hillock and the shrine of his mother Meenakshi and father Shiva is located downhill. The temple has three gopuram , three precincts and sixty steps and each one is named after the sixty Tamil years. The temple has six daily rituals at various times from 5:30 a.m.

A small town in India’s state of Tamil Nadu, Thiruthani is renowned for two things - the popular one being the fifth haven of Thiruthani Murugan Temple or Sri Subramanya Swamy Temple (Lord Muruga), and the birthplace of late Dr. Sarvapalli Radha Krishnan, who was the first president of India. The temple of Sri Subramanya Swamy, attracts devotees from all over the country, throughout the year.Situated along Kanchipuram to Tirupati route, Thirithani is nestled 15 kilometers from the border of Andhra Pradesh. Other than Sri Subramanya Swamy Temple, multiple other shrines gain equal importance as well, such as, the Santhana Venugopalapuram Temple, which is also known as Nimbaka Kshethram, and the 9th-century Veetrirunda Perumal Temple witnesses many tourists and devotees every year. Thiruthani isn’t only about the cultural centers. Several attractions are also loved by nature lovers like hills, lakes, etc.

The region around Chennai has served as an important administrative, military, and economic centre for many centuries. During 1st century CE, a poet and weaver named Thiruvalluvar lived in the town of Mylapore (a neighbourhood of present Chennai).[32] From the 1st-12th century the region of present Tamil Nadu and parts of South India was ruled by the Cholas.
